Sacramental Preparation Fee
$25.00 / child (This is in addition to the Religious Education Fee)

If you have a child in the 3rd grade – 12th grade who has NOT received one of
the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and/or First Holy
Communion), please contact Joyce Hollowell at 406-656-5800 or
joyce@stthomasbillings.org to get them registered for OCIA for Children.
Our OCIA for Children classes meet once a month, allowing your child to fully participate in
our Religious Education program with their peers throughout the year. This approach provides
a well-rounded faith formation experience by combining focused sacramental preparation with
ongoing catechesis alongside students their own age.
The monthly OCIA sessions build on the foundation they receive in Religious Education with
special emphasis on preparing them to receive the Sacraments of Initiation. Together, these
experiences will help your child not only be prepared to receive the sacraments but also
develop lasting relationship with children their own age as well as grow in their love of Christ
which will help them become active members of our parish community.

This already happens when family members help one another to grow in faith by the witness of a Christian life in keeping with the Gospel. Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God.
