Advent Wreath Week 1

Parent or Leader: “Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up

with wings like eagles.” Isaiah 40:31

Prayer: Lord, this time of the year we ask to have our strength renewed. We ask for your help, as we prepare our hearts and homes for Jesus’ coming that we may see his presence all around us – in the people we meet and the gifts you abundantly have given us. May we be generous with what we have, because you are so generous to us, we ask this through your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Each night this week, the first purple candle is lit and left burning during the meal. The evening meal prayer follows the lighting

of the candle.
